The Extension Factory.....we'll get your job started.....what they won't tell you is that they will never finish it!
Unless you are not in a hurry, have no cares about quality of workmanship, or enjoy being bullied and hitting your head against a brick wall for the duration of your renovation with this crowd....save yourself the time, money and headache. TRUST ME, been there done that!!
After almost 3 years, we finally moved into our home no thanks to The Extension Factory-they didn't care that they ran 225 days over a 240 day build time, it was only costing us money in rent and a mortgage.
Save yourself, honestly life is too short to go through this type of experience when you pay this sort of money.
Extension factory-how bad are they?

Extension Factory Builders-what you should know
We commenced renovating our house with the extension factory over a year ago.
The Sales person was most helpful.
Once he had completed his part of the deal, we were moved onto another contact within the company.
What no one told us was that unless we detailed specifications at this point-we would have no end of trouble.
We kept asking about specifications of the build and were advised that the further details can all be worked out later.
Let me tell you-don't listen.
It took us another 6 months from signing the contract, to clarifying and getting the documentation right before we even commenced the planning process.
Their lack of documentation is appalling-thankfully we documented all meetings as this assisted us in ensuring things were right!
Finally the job commenced in August 2011.
Very slowly demolition commenced.
We then had a site manager who was new to the company.
We spent many hours running through the job on site with him.
Within a matter of weeks he had been sacked and we were appointed another site manager.
Once demolition had occurred, we waited for many weeks before anyone considered pouring the slab.
Then the first issue occurred-no one had told us to get the land surveyed as we were building right on our boundary.
We had the land surveyed within a week and we had a problem.
Our neighbor had built over our boundary.
It took us a few weeks to remedy this situation.
Had this need for a land survey been flagged prior to permit application, we would have had the issue resolved without delaying the pour of our slab.
Slab had been poured for weeks before anyone thought to start building the frame.
Then-Christmas time...
From 23/12/11 until March 12 the only noticeable additions to our house were completion of framework which was substandard and not level and a roof that leaked.
After numerous other site managers, many site meetings and the need to include the national manager on our job-we are still no further along.
We are now forced to proceed with legal action for compensation as we were supposed to be in our house mid April 2012.
We are now mid May 2012 and we are not at lockup.
We are now up to site manager number 4 who assures me all stops will be pulled out to build our house.
I wonder why nothing has been done for another 2 weeks.
Not sure if they will ever be able to complete our home and the quality of the works leaves much to be desired!
If someone had of warned us not to use this company we would be much happier people right now.
No one deserves to go through this experience when you are paying a large company to project manage a renovation.
